AirCheck G2: Captive Portal

The AirCheck G2 can connect to a captive portal network and test network services. It provides a browser window for entering a username and password to gain authorized network access.

When the Captive Portal setting is enabled, this portion of the test opens a web browser window that allows you to enter the required credentials for the network. Use the zoom icons in the top navigation bar to zoom in or out in the browser window. Once you are finished in the browser window, touch OK to return to the connect test in progress. The Captive Portal test does not show a Pass/Fail status, but you can touch the down arrow next to “Captive Portal Complete” to view the Landing URL for the captive portal.

To enable Captive Portal on a new connection:

1.  From the Home screen, tap Networks.

2.  Tap the network that you want to connect to.

3.  Tap Connect.

4. Set Captive Portal to On and once complete with configuration of the remaining settings, tap Apply.

To enable Captive Portal on an existing connection:

1.  From the Home screen, tap Settings (gear icon).

2.  Tap Networks.

3. Tap the pencil icon next to the network connect you want to modify.

4. Set Captive Portal to On and tap Apply.

Note: On some captive portal networks, it can also roam as part of its Roaming Test, though this does not work on all captive portal networks.
